Kingston
Pike (between West Hills Shopping Center and Concord Street):
This heavily wooded area should be conserved. There are opportunities
for planting small trees under the power line, which runs on the north
side of Kingston Pike.
Cherokee
Boulevard:
This is one of the premier streets in Knoxville. Its landscaped median
and trail are appreciated by the neighborhood and others who visit the
area. Conservation and maintenance of the trees are primary objectives.
Bearden
Village:
In 2001, the Bearden Village Opportunities Plan was adopted by the Metropolitan
Planning Commission and City Council. Street, sidewalk and landscape
improvements were part of the recommendations. An overall planting plan
should be created for the area including Hollywood Drive.
