The sector boundaries include the vast majority of Knoxville’s incorporated area. The tree planting recommendations for other areas such as those around interchanges at the edge of the city are as follows:

• Conserve the trees and woodlands in the interchange areas
• Plant additional large and small native trees in the interchange areas, especially where they are lacking
• Use the planting and conservation strategies previously outlined to enhance outlying business districts and neighborhoods, and areas that are annexed in the future.
