Neyland Drive

The city has completed a remarkable landscaping program in conjunction with Volunteer Landing and the waterfront greenway. The parking lot, which serves the riverboat and Calhoun’s, is one element of its streetscape that could be a model to commercial developers in all parts of town.

Recommendation:

• The one portion of the roadway that could be enhanced is the five-lane section in the vicinity of the wastewater treatment plant where the addition of landscaped medians would complement the other tree-planting along the drive.
