Additional projects affecting Five Points specifically are outlined in a redevelopment plan developed by KCDC and in a small area plan by the MPC. Community visioning to improve the Empowerment Zone is underway and will be documented separately. Both documents are in the MPC library. Contact the Partnership for Neighborhood Improvement for additional information on the Empowerment Zone (EZ).

Proposed greenway along Love's Creek

A greenway is proposed along Love Creek, connecting Spring Place Park to the adjacent neighborhoods and activity centers.

 

A branch of Love Creek

William's Creek greenway

Williams Creek greenway would connect Austin-East High School and the Knoxville First Tee Golf Course, crossing Brooks Avenue at this location and meandering through a linear park between Graves and Biddle Streets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Buffat Mill

A proposed walking trail connecting Prosser Road and Knox Lane would allow safe north-south connectivity on foot by creating a dedicated pedestrian path from Buffat Mill to Washington Pike.
