Also winning in the Residential category is Timberlake, which is being developed by the Southland Development Group. Its centerpiece is a 20-acre lake, which is surrounded by woodlands and recreation facilities.

Timberlake has been created as a place for families. Children can reach the lake or playground on its sidewalks. Adults can stroll or jog on the trails or enjoy the clubhouse. The commission found Timberlake to be a fine combination of attractive homes, ample open spaces and distinctive recreation improvements. Michael Versen worked with the engineering team of Batson Himes Norvell and Poe to create the attractive landscaping, boulevards and trail system. Chuck Pilgrim was responsible for the clubhouse design.
