Tazewell Pike-Beverly Station Neighborhood Association

Our winner is the Tazewell Pike-Beverly Station Association. This neighborhood, which lies just beyond Greenwood Cemetery, has a rich architectural history, including Federal, Victorian, Craftsman and Colonial Revival-style homes. With concerns about its noteworthy architecture and impressive shaded landscape, residents came together to create the Neighborhood Conservation District. They drafted an initial set of design guidelines for future development and solicited neighborhood input to create the protective zoning that was sought. The new district promises to be instrumental in conserving the landscape and architectural heritage of this historic area. I would like to congratulate the neighborhood leaders, Dan Brewer and Jamie Rowe, who facilitated the work on the part of the Association.
