Our winner is the Atrium. It was developed by Commercial and Investment Properties, and designed by the architectural firm Adams, Craft, Herz and Walker. Located next to the post office, the Atrium continues the tradition of higher quality office development along Weisgarber Road. The building derives its name from the large, three-story hall, which serves as the focal point. Its courtyard, designed by landscape architect Gary Menendez, offers a place to take stroll or visit with a friend. A branch of the Lunchbox operates on the first floor, enabling workers to remain on-site and not add to area traffic. With its shade trees, creek protection and energy-saving lights, we found the Atrium to be a landmark in terms of environmental sensitivity
